In my last post, I stated that the lady who is running for Governor of California was the past or present CEO of Hp, I had been miss informed and I am correcting this statement at this time;she is running against Barbra Boxer in the senate race!
I still feel that anyone who has purchased a DV Series Note book manufactured by Hp should still get together at least 7 of them which is a minimum number of persons it takes to file a Class Action Suite in Federal Court and sue the heck out of Hp, the CEO past and present.
There is no reason for this kind of lack of improper ventilation that I have seen in this laptop computer. It doesn't take an engineer to determine that there is no air flow when the laptop is sitting on a flat surface as the vents are blocked. This is poor engineering.
I will say that when I propped the laptop up at an angle of about 15 degrees that the air was able to get into the vents and the hard drive was much cooler as was the motherboard directly above it and attached to it by the electrical connections which also transfers heat to the motherboard. I still do not like the fact that I am unable to swap out the hard drive with an industry standard model. That I may have to pay 4 times the price I pay for an industry standard model for a 160gig. 2.5" notebook hard drive if I cannot get on off the Internet by going to Hp.
It is my understanding that many of these DV Series of Hp Notebooks have been marketed my a major Membership Company that's name starts with a C. This company is as I have been informed is the largest marketer of these Notebooks in the United States and their members are a little bit up set with them and very upset with HP and I have a membership card of the same company.
When we pay big $$$$ for a product that has been proven to barely last until the end of the warranty then we and the rest of the world are in serious trouble. Those who are responsible for these failing products are to be held account able for their actions and deeds.
In particular CEO's who earned $100,000,000.00 during there tenure, not earning the income that they were paid.
Hp in it's origins was a honorable corporation maybe they have just gotten a little too big for their britches.
I have purchased 4 Hp Printers in the last 3 years and they seem to work Ok, most of the time but when they don't then it becomes very frustrating to deal with them.
Though I do like the way their Warrant Repair people in the Philippines and India can go into your computer an play with anything they watch and see everything you can when they try to solve a problem. Unlike Acer/Gateway/Emachines/ Packard-Bell corporation.
This will be my last post for a while as I will be reporting to a ship tomorrow to make a little income for 70 days.
Good luck to my readers and may the gift of God's love shine upon you.
